Full-Time Football Coach Marcus Gayle and Swaggarlicious Head Coach Manisha Tailor were selected by anti-racism and discrimination charity Kick It Out to be a mentor at the annual Raise Your Game Conference held at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.
Former AFC Wimbledon and Brentford footballer Marcus and UEFA B Licensed coach Manisha were two of 75 mentors who volunteered their day to speak with individuals aspiring to work in the football industry across a variety of fields.
Over 250 individuals embarked on a jam-packed event in North London searching for advice, guidance and contacts to break into the beautiful game in a mixture of one-to-one mentoring or workshops.
Broadcaster for the Premier League Manish Bhasin opened the event and guided proceedings throughout. AtTheMatch joined the event making the most of a unique networking opportunity.
Marcus, who is also Grassroots Ambassador as a member to the Berks & Bucks FA Board, said:
“Kick It Out’s Raise Your Game Conference is a brilliant concept that enables the likes of myself to pass on advice and connect to the next generation through mentoring.
“It is enjoyable for me as a mentor when you see the numbers of mentees that turn up with that enthusiasm in wanting to learn.
