Former Premier League striker Jason Roberts hopes Leicester City continue their impressive season by clinching the title.
Roberts made over 188 top-flight appearances for Portsmouth, Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and Reading and scored 36 times.
The Foxes are two points clear of Tottenham at the summit with just eleven games remaining.
Speaking at an AtTheMatch.com Networking Event in London, the 38-year-old said:
“It’s been the best Premier League season. In Europe we’re not performing, which could be due to a number of different factors. Our big clubs are in a crisis, by their standards, and that’s translating into European results. But who would have thought we’d have Leicester at the top of the table. That’s why we watch football because of the unscripted drama.
“I don’t want to know who’s going to be the top four next season. I want someone to surprise me and Leicester, West Ham and Tottenham have done something incredible. I hope Leicester win it and I hope all real football fans want them to do it, too, because this is what it’s about.
“Leicester move me every single time I watch them play and they have a huge advantage in that while the other teams are playing in European competitions they can sit back and wait. They need to relax, focus and I hope for the Premier League they can do it.”
